US Senior Official Lands An Taiwan For highest-Level US Visit Since 1979

A senior member of US President Donald Trump’s administration landed in Taiwan on Sunday, the highest-level US visit to the island since Washington switched diplomatic recognition to Beijing in 1979.

A delegation led by health chief Alex Azar landed at Taipei’s Songshan airport, according to AFP reporters on the scene.
